Theotokos: New Book by Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan Released at General Synod

The latest book authored by Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan, Theotokos – The Mother of God, was released during the General Synod held in Gurgaon.

The book release ceremony commenced with the Invocation by His Eminence Justin Mor Thomas Episcopa, Archbishop of the Nagpur and Dhaka Archdioceses. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Rev. Fr. Sijo Pandapallil, PRO of the Church. The book was formally introduced and released by Rev. Fr. Dr. Varghese Vijayanand OIC. The first copy was received by His Eminence John Mor Irenaeus Episcopa, Archbishop of the Delhi and Chennai Archdioceses.

A felicitation address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Packiam T. Samuel, Vice President, National Council of Churches in India. His Holiness responded with a heartfelt message, reflecting on the inspiration and purpose behind the book. As a token of appreciation, a memento was presented to Rev. Fr. Dr. Varghese Vijayanand OIC.

The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Rev. Fr. Dr. Daniel Johnson, Secretary General of the Church.

The release of the book marks a meaningful contribution to the spiritual and theological life of the Church, offering deeper insight and reflection for the faithful.
