The Diocese of Agartala joyfully organized a One-Day Vacation Kids Camp at St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church Parish in West Tripura District. The event, held on 14th June 2025, brought together over 100 children from various local parishes for a fun-filled and spiritually enriching experience.
The camp was thoughtfully planned and conducted by the Sunday School leaders of the diocese, with the aim of nurturing children through faith-based learning, fellowship, and creative activities.
The day began with a formal inauguration led by His Grace Yacob Mor Theophanous Episcopa, who lit the ceremonial lamp in the presence of diocesan priests, the Sunday School leader of Agartala Diocese, and local Sunday School teachers. His Grace also delivered an inspiring message from God’s Word, encouraging the children to grow in faith and walk with Christ.
The theme of the camp, “Get into the Ark,” reminded the young participants of God’s protection, love, and the importance of obedience to His call.
Children were grouped by age and attended engaging Bible classes led by dedicated teachers. Throughout the day, they also took part in a variety of activities such as drawing, coloring, dancing, Bible reading, and verse memorization. Teachers joined the children in singing and dancing, making the day interactive and joyful.
To recognize their efforts and talents, the church awarded prizes to children who excelled in their classes and activities, inspiring them to continue learning and using their gifts for God’s glory.
One of the children, Khasrang Debbarma, shared, “When I heard about this program, I was very excited to attend it because I knew I could learn many things. I really enjoyed the kids camp and felt very happy to meet many children and make new friends.”
The Vacation Kids Camp proved to be a meaningful initiative, providing a platform for children to deepen their understanding of the Bible, discover their talents, and build lasting friendships in a faith-filled environment.
