Memorial Liturgy Held on the Second Anniversary of the Repose of Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan

A solemn Memorial Liturgy was held this morning at St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church Cathedral, located at the Believers Eastern Church World Headquarters, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the repose of Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan of blessed memory.

The service was presided over by Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan, along with the bishops and archbishops of the Church. His Grace the Most Reverend Cyril Mar Baselios Metropolitan, Supreme Head of the Malabar Independent Syrian Church, delivered a heartfelt homily during the service.

The liturgical service brought together clergy and faithful in prayerful remembrance and thanksgiving for the life and ministry of the reposed Metropolitan. Following the Divine Liturgy, incense prayers were offered at his tomb, as the faithful reflected on his enduring legacy of humility, compassion, prayer, and unwavering devotion to Christ and the Holy Church.

Though he has departed from this earthly life, his witness continues to inspire countless hearts across the world.
