In a compassionate response to the ongoing hardships caused by ethnic violence in the state, a local parish under the Diocese of Churachandpur organized a rice distribution program to support twelve underprivileged families.
The initiative was carried out with the aim of addressing the basic needs of families who have been severely affected by the unrest. Each of the selected families received a supply of rice, bringing relief and encouragement during a time of uncertainty and struggle.
Mrs. Chochong, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “I thank the church leadership for meeting our daily needs in our helpless situation. This means a lot to our family.”
This effort reflects the Church’s ongoing mission to care for the suffering and to be a source of hope and help for those in need. The Diocese of Churachandpur continues to stand with the affected communities, offering practical support and spiritual comfort in these challenging times.
