The Hope for Children Centre in Birtamod held an Economic Development Assistance Material Distribution Program on 23rd September 2025, marking another step in its mission to empower local communities.
Eight candidates who had earlier completed skill development training in pickle making and incense making were selected to receive material support, which is expected to help them improve product quality, increase efficiency, and expand their businesses to reach wider markets.
The program was attended by community leaders including Mr. Jiwan Baskota (Member of Ward No. 6), Mr. Devi Nepal (Masale Tol Chairman), and Mr. Yuraj Gautam (Vice Chairman of CPU), alongside the selected candidates. The distribution was formally carried out by Mr. Jiwan Baskota, who handed over materials such as packaging bags, Nepali paper, incense ingredients, bamboo shoots, lemons, oil, bottles, and spices.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Devi Nepal commended Hope for Children’s holistic approach of combining training with material support, ensuring lasting impact. He also expressed his commitment to facilitating market linkages for the beneficiaries’ products.
Expressing her gratitude, Mrs. Anita Limbu, one of the recipients, said, “I am grateful to Hope for Children for not only training us but also providing the tools needed to actually start and grow our business.”
Through this initiative, Hope for Children continues its mission of empowering local communities, promoting self-reliance, and creating sustainable income opportunities.
