His Holiness Theophilus Metropolitan Celebrates Tamil Divine Liturgy at St. Thomas Cathedral

On Sunday, July 20, 2025, His Holiness Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church Cathedral in Thiruvalla, in a special service attended by the Tamil congregations from the Thiruvalla and Kozhencherry parishes.

In a gesture that deeply touched the hearts of the faithful, His Holiness conducted the entire Divine Liturgy in the Tamil language, making the service especially meaningful for the congregation.

Addressing the gathered faithful, His Holiness remarked, “Today, God has given us the blessed opportunity to worship together at the Cathedral — as children of the same God, members of the same Church, and one family.”

The service was a beautiful expression of unity and fellowship in Christ, serving as a reminder that—regardless of language or background—the Church is one body, rooted in the love of Christ.
