His Holiness Theophilus Metropolitan Addresses the ‘Francis Marpappa: Life, Vision & Witness’ Seminar and Book Release

His Holiness Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan spoke at a special event hosted by the National Council of YMCA’s of India, in association with Believers Church Medical College Hospital: the “Francis Marpappa: Life, Vision & Witness” Seminar & Book Release, celebrating the inspiring life and legacy of His Holiness Pope Francis (Francis Marpappa).

The event commenced with a presentation on the life, vision, and witness of Francis Marpappa by Fr. Biju P. Thomas.

Rev. Fr. Sijo Pandapallil, PRO of Believers Eastern Church & Manager, Believers Church Medical College Hospital, delivered the Welcome Address, followed by the Presidential Address by Mr. Reji George, National Treasurer of YMCA India.

The event was formally inaugurated by His Eminence Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Major Archbishop Emeritus of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church.
The Main Talk was delivered by Most Rev. Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan, Metropolitan of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. A thoughtful book review was presented by Dr. Paul Manalil, after which the biography “Francis Marpappa – Snehathinte Prakasha Gopuram” was released.

The gathering was graced with greeting messages from Archbishop Kuriakose Mar Severios Valiya Metropolitan, Chief Metropolitan Archbishop of the Malankara Syriac Knanaya Archdiocese; Archbishop Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos Metropolitan, Metropolitan Archbishop of Tiruvalla, Syro-Malankara Catholic Church; H.G. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Yulios Metropolitan, President, National Council of Churches in India (NCCI).

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Lenoj Chacko, General Convenor, Host Committee.
