In the wake of the recent devastating floods, the Hope for Children team from the Diocese of Vijayawada once again stepped up to provide much-needed relief to those in dire need. Though the floodwaters have receded, the hunger and suffering of the affected communities remain immense. The situation is heartbreaking, with many struggling to find basic necessities.
But amidst the despair, the Hope for Children team has brought respite and hope to over 500 individuals. With the dedicated efforts of our staff and volunteers, nine essential items were distributed, including wheat flour, cooking oil, sugar, dal, coffee powder, tea powder, biscuits, noodle packets, and water bottles—offering a lifeline to those in crisis.
During the relief efforts, one of the HFC staff members personally spoke with a pregnant woman who shared that she has only had one meal a day for the past week. Her story is just one of many, highlighting the dire situation these communities are facing.
Pray for the restoration of the flood-affected families.
Pray that normalcy is restored soon.
