Over 3,000 children and individuals took part in the rallies with placards and banners carrying messages such as “Do not cut trees”, “Save the forest”, “Plant trees, save lives”, etc. They planted tree saplings around their vicinities and local government school premises. A total of 8,218 saplings were planted that day.
They also organized different activities like drawing competitions, skits and speeches on the theme “environmental protection” to spread awareness about planting and conserving trees.
