St John Believers Eastern Church took a compassionate initiative to support vulnerable communities by distributing blankets to the needy in a slum area of Solan district. The distribution programme was conducted at the Slum Colony, where blankets were provided to 10 underprivileged individuals to help them cope with the severe winter cold.
Expressing gratitude, one of the beneficiaries, Stan Kumar, said, “I am so much thankful to the Church for providing this blanket to me. It is winter and the cold is severe here, but the Church took concern to distribute a blanket to me. It will help me and my family during this winter season.”
In a similar outreach effort, the Women’s Fellowship team of St James Believers Eastern Church, Diocese of Solan, organized a blanket distribution programme for patients at the Government Regional Leprosy Hospital in Solan district. The diocesan Women’s Fellowship team visited the hospital, which is located about 15 kilometres from the diocesan office and admits patients from various districts for treatment.
During the visit, the team distributed 10 blankets to the patients, offering warmth and comfort amid the extreme winter conditions. The hospital management expressed their appreciation for the visit and thanked the team for their thoughtful service, noting that the blankets would be of great help to the patients, especially during the harsh winter season.
