Parishes of the Believers Eastern Church across the globe came together in joyful celebration of Palm Sunday, commemorating the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem and marking the beginning of Holy Week—the most sacred period in the Church calendar.
From the early hours of the morning, churches were filled with the faithful who gathered for special liturgical services. Holding palm fronds, the faithful participated in solemn and vibrant processions, recalling the moment when crowds welcomed Christ by laying palm branches along His path.
Across dioceses, hymns of praise echoed through parish grounds as believers joyfully proclaimed, “Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Special prayers and blessings of palm leaves were conducted in each parish, uniting the faithful in remembrance of Christ’s humility. The observances also served as a call to prepare hearts for the journey through Holy Week—a time when the Church reflects on the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus, culminating in the celebration of His glorious Resurrection on Easter Sunday.
