Believers Eastern Church Launches Tailoring Skills Training Program for Vulnerable Women in Liberia

Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to serving communities through both spiritual and practical ministry, Believers Eastern Church Liberia, through its Community Transformation Program (CTP), has launched a six-month Tailoring Skills Training Program for 17 vulnerable women and single mothers in New Dolo’s Town, Liberia.

The initiative aims to equip participants with practical vocational skills that will enable them to earn sustainable incomes, provide for their families, and build brighter futures. By empowering women with marketable skills, the Church continues its mission of fostering holistic transformation and restoring hope among underprivileged communities.

Delivering the keynote address, Rev. Fr. Sachin Pakhre, Diocesan Leader, reminded the participants that the Church’s mission extends beyond proclaiming the Gospel to demonstrating Christ’s love through compassionate service. He encouraged the women to embrace the opportunity with gratitude, remain committed throughout the six months of training, and use the skills they acquire to support their families, educate their children, and become a blessing within their communities.

During the launch, Mr. Benjamin T. Teah, National Program Coordinator of the Community Transformation Program, presented an overview of the training, highlighting its objectives and the opportunities it offers to participants.

Community leaders also welcomed the initiative. Mr. Alvin Freeman, Chairman of New Dolo’s Town Community, expressed appreciation for the Church’s continued partnership with the community, while Hon. David Mulbah, Administrator of the Seventeen Towns, thanked the Believers Eastern Church for investing in the lives of vulnerable families and contributing to the development of the region.

Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Sis. Maima expressed heartfelt gratitude to God and to the Believers Eastern Church for providing the opportunity. She affirmed her determination to complete the program successfully and use the knowledge and skills she gains to create a better future for her family.

The ceremony concluded with the blessing of the training materials, the introduction of the tailoring instructor, Mr. Kpehe, and the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of six months of learning, personal growth, and renewed hope.
