Across the dioceses of Believers Eastern Church, International Women’s Day was observed with heartfelt acts of love, service, and empowerment.
In local parishes, women members were honored with small gifts and tokens of appreciation, and special prayers and words of encouragement were offered for them. These celebrations also provided opportunities to recognize the dignity and contributions of women within the congregations. Through fellowship, prayer, and special programs, parishes celebrated and affirmed the important role women play in families, the Church, and society.
The observance also extended beyond church walls through compassionate outreach initiatives. Teams served meals to the hungry, distributed ration kits, blankets, clothing, and essential supplies to families in need, and visited hospitals, orphanages, and elderly homes to share care and encouragement. As part of the celebrations, teams also visited schools to provide healthcare awareness and personal hygiene guidance to young girls.
Efforts to empower women included launching literacy units, supporting livelihoods, and offering practical assistance to widows and vulnerable women. Through these acts of kindness and service, International Women’s Day was marked not only by celebration but also by a renewed commitment to uplift, honor, and walk alongside women with love, dignity, and hope.
